On Monday Michael started his first week of daycare. Boy what a shock to his system that was! His did amazingly well and that made mommy feel a lot more comfortable leaving him there all day. He just loves his teachers and all of the cool colors all over the place. And he especially loves watching the bigger kids play. I keep reminding him that he’ll soon enough get to be with the big kids, he just needs to figure out the sitting thing. He comes home EXHAUSTED because he is so busy all day looking around that he just doesn’t want to sleep. But that’s ok he’ll eventually learn that nothing is going anywhere and he can get a few Zzzz’s in.

Today at daycare he had his first fire drill. Since we are in the same building we both experienced it at the same time. I was heating up my lunch and heard the fire alarm go off. I rushed back to my desk…with food in hand of course, to look out my window. I have the perfect view of the playground for the daycare and from what I remembered they’d wheel out the infants in their cribs when the alarm goes off. So I waited until they wheeled Mikey out. And they did! He was in a crib with 3 other kids. They were all laying down next to each other, it was BEYOND cute!!!!

So far its been great to be back at work around adults and having other responsibilities besides our little man but I tell you once the clock hits 4pm. I’m Outta here to go rush and pick him up!!!

On our last day at home together before I return back to working in the office and he goes to daycare Mikey decided to show mommy that he can roll from his belly to his back. He did it twice but I’m pretty sure it was a fluke because now he doesn’t want to do it again. Eventually I’ll capture it on video.

Mikey has officially found his thumb. He’s been trying and trying soooooooo hard to get that thumb in his mouth for quite some time now but finally a couple of days ago we caught him full-on thumb-sucking action while Gary was holding him. It was so cute to see him going to town on it too. It means he is able to self-soothe himself which is GREAT. Today he was able to self-soothe himself right back into a nice LONG nap while mommy worked and of course it was too cute that she had to grab the camera to take a quick pic.

Time flies when you are having fun! Happy 3 month Birthday Mikey!!!!

Ok its been about a month since we last posted. Ooops. Things have been busy down in Sunny South Florida. Michael has been growing like a weed and is now in 3-6 month clothes. Some of his 0-3 still fit, but not many. He is fascinated by the TV and our fans. He can carry full on conversations with the fans too, that’s how much he loves them. Today Michael is officially 13 weeks old and tomorrow he will be a big 3-monther! Boy is time flying by or what!!!! Before I know it he’ll be 18 and ready to go off to college, hopefully to be a doctor so that mommy and daddy can get free medical care ;o)

Mommy is back at work but she is working from home for the next 2 weeks until we can get Michael into the daycare at Mommy’s work. We will be carpool buddies starting the 28th of this month. It’ll be nice for both of us to finally have time away from each other. He’s becoming too much of a momma’s boy and he needs to realize that as much as mommy would like to be the center of the universe she is NOT.
